A higher resolution increases screen space and allows more objects to be seen. To increase the resolution, follow these steps.
1. Open Display Properties: minimize open programs to the Taskbar, right click on the desktop, and select Properties, or click Start > Control Panel > (Appearance and Themes) > Display. The Display Properties window will appear.
2. Click Settings.
3. Drag the Screen Resolution slider until it reads at least 1024 by 768 pixels.
4. Click Apply. The screen will briefly turn black. Then the new resolution is applied. You may get a prompt allowing 15 seconds for confirmation. The prompt may or may not appear. If it doesn't, the new resolution is applied automatically. If it does, it allows 15 seconds for Yes or No. Click Yes to confirm the change; click No or do nothing to revert to the previous setting.
