On the authentication box click Forgot Password.
STaRS will display a dialog box.
Type your user name and click Send Password.
STaRS will send a temporary password to your e-mail address on record. This is the address you provided when your user account was created. STaRS will also indicate that the new password has been sent to you.
Log on using your user name and the temporary password. This password takes you to the Change Password dialog box. You may use the temporary password five times.
To change it, follow these steps.
1. Type or copy and paste it in the Password box.
2. Create your new password in the New Password box.
3. Retype your new password in the Confirm New Password box.
4. Click Change Password. If you click Cancel, STaRS will open for the session, but your password will not be changed. You can still use the temporary password four more times. If you cancel the change five times your account is disabled. If you make mistakes or use an incorrect format, STaRS will display red-letter messages highlighting the errors. On Change Password the temporary password is changed, and your new password becomes valid and enabled.
5. Click Continue to view your STaRS pages.
After you create a new password you may use it to log on to STaRS next time.
