URL Address

The Uniform Resource Locator (URL) address of a web page is shown in the browser's Address box. The URL is the path to the files and resources that make up a web site. In Internet Explorer (IE) 6 the URL location is under the Standard Buttons toolbar.

If your browser is IE 7, the URL is shown under the title bar.

If the browser does not show this field, right-click on a toolbar and select Address Bar (in IE 6).

NOTE: The images in this Help are based on IE 6; however, STaRS images should not be different for IE 7.

When you become a user you receive the URL address of the STaRS public page of your project. You will use this page to get information about your project and to log in to your STaRS pages. The public page depends on the URL. After login the projects you are authorized to access will appear in a dropdown list located above the menu bar.
